FAQs

  • Unless required by your insurance plan, no referral is needed to see a physical therapist in the state of Utah. If you are unsure if your insurance plan requires a referral, feel free to call us to discuss.

  • The goal of your first session is to get to know you and come up with a solid game plan! We will spend the time listening to your medical history and treatment goals, along with performing comprehensive physical assessment focused around the movements and activities that are limited. If time allows, we may dive into treatment and programming. Plan your first session being 1 hour in length. Typical treatment sessions are 1 hour, however shorter sessions are available upon request.

  • Yes! We can accept either your co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, or self-pay treatments.

  • We are a smaller independent practice. This allows us to spend one on one time with you during your session. Insurance companies can place restrictions on the number of visits allowed, the reimbursement for these visits, and what services they will cover. In typical clinical environments this can lead to therapists seeing multiple patients at once or patients being handed off to multiple therapists throughout their episode of care.

We prefer to focus on you and only you. This leads to more effective care and reduced overall costs. We can easily provide you with a super-bill that can then be submitted to your insurance plan for out-of-network reimbursement.

  • A superbill is a document provided from the clinic that includes provider information along with treatment and billing codes necessary for your insurance to reimburse you. This depends on the insurance you have, but most non-Medicare patients can send “self-claims” to their insurance company for their treatments at our clinic. The amount of reimbursement or application towards your deductible is completely dependent on your insurance plan. If you call your insurance company to inquire about what you can expect to receive, you should ask about reimbursement for “out-of-network Physical Therapy” expenses sent in via self-claims.
